Ya, ya aku terasa sedikit jiwang these several days. No, not because there's new love in my life nor the absence of it. Not because of the over-publicised over-commercialised overrated wedding. Not because of all the lovey dovey couples that I see or the retak menanti belah situations around me. I just feel... melancholic. aaahhh.. that's the word. Thoughtful sadness.

btw, juz read yr previous posts, n as an Iban, answering yr Q; no, in the olden days, Ibans do not give away maidens for marriage juz like that. tho there were many marriages as such reported n can be traced to their decendants these days. ramai la kawan2 i yg tok nenek dia mat saleh/japanese.. those days..

a couple of months ago, i was at the Lumut jetty. i could feel the cool sea breeze as the day was about to end. It was quite, peaceful, serene. From one of the many stalls selling dried sea products, someone played the song by Dewa 19 - "aku cinta kau dan dia". At that moment it was like so melancholic.......
galing: aah.. then.. kalau kau dan dia, tentu sekali tanpa aku. hehe...

Yeah, i know it sounds kinda selfish. But kau could mean our Creator or Dia whichever you choose. Its a paradox in having to love another person and yet giving all your love to the Al-Mighty.
The only explanation i could offer is love for another human being is too predictable and of little value. The same cannot be said of one's love towards God....
