An Excerpt from Minda Mufti

Quoting Ustaz Asri of Minda Mufti:

"Islam is a fair religion. Islam never teaches Muslims that non-Muslims are their enemies. The protest against violence is also carried out by non-Muslims. The Muslims only go to war against the people who declares war against the Muslims; whether the animosity is based on hatred for the religion or just because they want to terrorize other people.

Islam does not accept and oppose violence wherever it is committed. Whether on Muslims or non-Muslims, on humans or animals, even to the environment. We Muslims protest against the violence committed to our brothers and sisters in faith in Palestine in the name of Islam and humanity. Other people (the non-Muslims) protest in the name of humanity.

If violence are committed against the non-Muslims, we, the Muslims, will still protest the act in the name of Islam and humanity. This is because, the Islamic principles include the humanity principles. Therefore if none protest against this act of terror and violence, the person has neither the Islamic principles nor the humanity principles."


"Islam bersikap adil. Islam tidak pernah menyatakan setiap mereka yang tidak menganut Islam itu adalah musuh Islam. Demonstrasi di seluruh dunia pada hari ini turut dilakukan oleh mereka yang bukan Islam. Islam hanya bermusuh dengan mereka yang melancarkan permusuhan dan kezaliman kepada umat Islam. Samada permusuhan itu atas kebencian kepada agama ini, atau atas sikap yang ingin menzalimi orang lain.

Kemudian, Islam tidak menerima dan membantah kezaliman di mana sahaja ia dilakukan. Samada ke atas muslim atau bukan muslim, samada kepada insan atau binatang dan alam. Kita membantah kekejaman ke atas saudara seakidah kita di Palestin atas nama Islam dan kemanusiaan. Orang lain membantah atas dasar kemanusiaan.

Jika mereka yang bukan Islam dizalimi, kita tetap akan membantah atas dasar Islam dan kemanusiaan. Ini kerana prinsip Islam merangkumi prinsip kemanusiaan sejagat. Namun jika ada yang langsung tidak membantah, maka dia tiada prinsip Islam dan prinsip kemanusiaan."
