These days you can see a lot of books that compiles famous captions or sayings, famous folklores, and other everyday experiences or subjects that it generally shared amongst the people in our communities.
And these so-called authors, or stories compilers (more apt), are making huge amount of money! You know, this is the blue ocean strategy, they call it. Tapping to the new market. New ideas. New product.
When I first read this genre of book, I was really into it. But after reading a few, I got... well, bored. The storyline might appeal to certain people, on and on. But like an over-played record, you just feel that you had too much of it already.
Amir Muhammad is releasing a new book similar to this concept, this Sunday at Gallery One, Central Market Annexe, 3 - 5pm (this is public service, no commission). And his version is entitled "Malaysian Politicians Say The Darndest Things". And knowing his work, it'll be provoking. Definitely. So come with open mind.
Jade, however, is still looking for side income. She finds herself writing; poem, unpublished novels, the works, you know. She knows if she put her mind to it, this passion can turn into money making projects. However, she's not ready to go full-time. So, she'll appreciate if anyone can give her hints or opportunity to start small. Maybe a little 100-word column in online magazine... He he he... But seriously, she needs the money.
Okay people, I'm going off now. Hopefully another beautiful outing with my current love interest. Muahahaha... Take care, and be happy. Taaaaaa!
