7th day of Syawal

I am falling into a routine. Go to work, come back and attend to The Baby. Sleep, night feeds, sleep, wake up, go to work.

I hate routine.

So many things on my mind, so many things I am planning. Can’t stop processing.

Work has been good so far. Group mates asked for my blog address. Here’s hoping that they will read with open mind and should I write anything about office, they’ll take it with pinch of salt. Like I said, read at your own perils. LOL.

I need a change. I am due for hair trimming. Need to find a new stylist, since my old one is in the old office building. And I am getting emotional with the way my hair is behaving. Times like this, wearing tudung is so much easier. And a very wrong reason to wear it too! The Hubby is on leave for the next two weeks. Lucky him! But, he deserves it, after those early mornings, long days and late nights for the past month. I am glad that we’re back to being a unit.

Syawal has been a little blah for me. Such experience, having to prepare The Baby before preparing myself! That is the fun part. I have also come to a conclusion that the ones that matter most are my own family. The rest of the world, they can bungee jump for all I care. My priorities now are my own family; The Hubby and The Baby, my own family and The Hubby’s. The extended family… is just that, extended. Still love them, but no longer sits at first 15 seats. And I am done pleading so that I can join the fun. I have redefined my version of fun. That is with my own family members.

At work, I have been asked by The Director and The Manager to come out with process improvements for the current project. This project has been around for so long that the project managers are more like coordinators than project managers. I don’t claim to know everything that I will be able to turn the table around within months to make things better, but I will do my best to ensure it happens! I am faced with some adversity, but I am prepared to the challenges, insyaAllah. It might not be in the other people’s performance review, but it is in mine! So, by hook or by crook, I will get the things done!

adversity-spider

It has been a month. Time flies. I feel pressed to make an impact. I am starting my day with positive vibes. Even when I hear or see unpleasant things, I do my best to control the state I am in, and shift the energy to better ones as much as I can. I do not come from zero, and without knowledge. There is a reason why I am here, and why I am being charged to do what I do. So I am going to do it. After all, work is work, and that’s the purpose I am here. It is not a matter of life and death. I vow never to make work a reason to alter my composure for the worse. I must always remember that when people are being defensive, it is because they feel weak or they fear the unknown. I on the other hand, should not play the same game.

I know now, that I must strategise. I dare to be different, therefore I am. So, bring it on!

After the Weekend

Over the weekend, my cousin got married. Many guests either arrived very, very late or had to turn back home. There were a lot of road-blocks around KL outskirt because of the scheduled walkabout by Bersih. Let me just rant in points, so that I don't miss out anything, and you get to see that I am apolitical.

  1. The reception was held in one of Police IPD's ballroom; my uncle is a police officer (how ironic!). The roadblock was right in front of the IPD; five lanes became one lane. (My brother who left the house later than the rest of us, was in the jam for 4 hours, and he was only 20 meters from the IPD entrance).
  2. Maybe the IPD wants to save cost, so they set up the block right in front of their IPD. Easy, to the point. After all, the location IS admittedly strategic.
  3. The maid of honor was unable to perform her duty because she was in the traffic too! The ceremony was a bit delayed, two tables for VIPs are empty.
  4. Okay, enough about the wedding. Suffice to say, it went great except for the effects of the rally.
  5. Bersih is an association that is politically influenced, the way I see it. It would be better if they are free of political ideologies. And this will be the only point for this matter.
  6. After having said point #5, I am all for clean and fair election. I am not a member of any political parties, nor am I leaning to any one ideology. I dislike politics. To say I hate it would be too harsh, for someone has got to do the dirty job. And politic, it is just that; dirty, regardless whom you represent or support.
  7. Do you remember our Rukun Negara? At least the five points that we keep on reciting every Monday assembly when we were in school? It said; 1. Believe in God, 2. Loyalty to the King and Country, 3. Upholding the Constitution, 4. Upholding the Law,  and 5. Politeness and Propriety
  8. It doesn't say anything about political party. So we are free to support any individual that we believe will be able to guide us based on these 5 characteristics.
  9. The way I see it, in Malaysia today, there are no individuals who are able to govern by these characteristics. Be it from the current ruling party or the others.
  10. To me, Najib Razak is a weak leader and Anwar Ibrahim can/will never be my Prime Minister. I dislike them both equally.
  11. A Wakil Rakyat, should just be that. A representative of the people who speaks the people's voice and not run his/her own agenda. And by speaking  for the people, does not mean visiting the "crime scene" after the "crime" has been committed and talking to the victims. Nor does it mean to wear neck braces and sporting a blackened eye to get sympathies; stop acting.
  12. Having said all that, I am an idealist and what I said are all too good to be true. It can never happen in this world, anywhere in the world in fact.
  13. If you feel Malaysia is a bad country to live in and Europe or Australia or the US is a better place to live in, by all means, go and live there. Then tell us how it is.
  14. Funny how no one wants to live in African countries or Arab countries kan? When they do comparison, Malaysia is always compared to the 1st world countries.
  15. Funny how people seem to conveniently forget that they are able to breed and feed in peace, collect and create wealth in peace.
  16. Funny how people use religion and race to get support and sympathy.
  17. Funny how people seem to forget that religion (whatever your faith is) teaches us humility and kindness. And not to "menyusahkan" other people. By rallying (and just by supporting) the other day, you have done just that.
  18. Bersih was supposed to be about electoral reform and not toppling the government. But reading statuses of majority of the supporters are clearly showing the latter.
  19. I would like to know the number of registered voters amongst the tens of thousands that came to walk the Bersih walk on Saturday. If you want to change the government, do your part in the next election.
  20. Funny how people easily forget that no one is perfect. Not Najib. Not Anwar. Not Lim Kit Siang. Not Nik Aziz. They are just normal people. In Islam, we believe that the only person that is protected from faults (maksum) are Prophets (peace be upon them) of Allah SWT.
Hah... Sudah2 la membebel tuh. Time to go for lunch and SHOP!

All ado about Anak Malaysia

So, Hannah Yeoh is a Chinese, her husband is an Indian. They want to register their daughter as “Anak Malaysia”. What is wrong with that picture?

On the other side of this bumi bertuah, I am a Malay and The Hubby is a Melanau (No, Melanau is not Malay, please correct your understanding). Our daughter is registered as Melanau.

drsam Here’s the story, I went to JPN to register Baby Hana. In the form, I filled up her race as “Melanau”. Ten minutes later, the lady at the counter called me to confirm this bit of fact. I affirmed the status and with a smile on my face, I asked is there something wrong with it? She replied to say that some people does not want to do that. So I said, well, I wrote it in the form, so we want it that way.

Now, I have no problem about this, I am curious why other people is? What is it about being “Anak Malaysia”? Everyone knows we are all Anak Malaysia since Dr. Sam sang it out loud in the 80s. But, still, it is not a race.

I am not being racist here. Your race is your legacy. It’s your root. Yes, we could’ve register Baby Hana as a Melayu, no doubt about it. That’s the beauty of a mixed marriage. It does not mean she is less a Melayu because we did not register her as such. And it does not mean she is less Melanau just because she hasn’t been to Sarawak yet.

And “Anak Malaysia” is not a race. So why would you put it in the race column? Your nationality is already being defined as a Malaysian. That’s the reason who hold a MyKad. Legally, no non-Malaysian will hold a MyKad.

The best thing the government can do is to do away with the race column. For demographic purpose, just identify as Bumi or non-Bumi. Then again, this is another matter which can cause butthurt in many people. So, let’s just leave it for the sake of the current topic.

Also, do away with the race column in so many other forms from banks, associations, job applications, loyalty card applications, etc. There is no need for it to be there in this case.

So to Hannah Yeoh and Husband, although I’m touched you’re willing to do away with your roots recognition, I am sure your kid will still learn both legacies, but I don’t agree with the “Anak Malaysia” idea. You should modify the way you fight your cause.

And to the so called human rights activists who are fighting for “racism in Malaysia”, I would like to say that before you started your war, there hardly a “racial tension”. People respect each other’s backgrounds and religions. You all have hidden agendas and making normal people like myself go berserk for no reason. If I can turn you lot into frogs, I will.

If I were to fight for racism, I would start in the office where there are different races around, but the people using their race dialect when talking about work. Use English lah if you feel using Bahasa Malaysia means creating racial tension. Blurgh!

What's wrong with Blogger?

I think, I'm changing my blog theme again... This time to something more fresh and bright maybe? Although I really heart black and red combination, a year of this theme colour is enough, don't you think?

It might take time before I finally get the one that I really heart. But it will change.

And what's with Blogger these days? Have you noticed how different your blog looks when you add pictures? I hate those white spaces!! Although adding images are easier and simpler, I might say. But please, I want the old look back! And when I press "Enter" instead of "SHIFT" + "ENTER", they add double spaces to the paragraph. NOT HEARTING IT!!

But why is it that other people's blog look normal? Hmmm...

Waiting For THE Door

I'm afraid I am done with the current environment. I have reached the state where "dragging myself over" several times the past month. I fought it back by doing my best to bring positive energy into everything that I do. However, it looks like I am failing. Today I feel the same again. Looks like every week I will face this unexplained emotional mode and it has nothing to do with the absence of The Hubby.

I need an opened door.

The First Class People

My office is just a stone throw from one of those expensive condos in KL. The tenants there are rich local people and expats. They drive big expensive cars with their big expensive sunglasses. I am absolutely positive that they use branded handbags and wallets as well as top notch designer labels on their shirts and dresses.

One would call them those high class, first class people.

Throughout my tenure with the current company, I park my car at a nearby privately managed carpark. They charge me either RM7 on normal days or RM10 if there is even going on at the Convention Centre. So, yeah, I pass by this particular expensive condo everyday, morning and evening.

You notice from the picture (taken from the site shown) there is a pavement in the middle of the road that separates the opposite traffic and creating sort of a three-branch junction. There is no U-turn sign anywhere and if you're coming out from the expensive condo, you have to turn left.

What I have observed these past couple of years are these:
  • Big expensive cars making U-turn to go into the condo from the right-hand side of the road
  • Big expensive cars turning left to get out from the condo, either crossing the pavement or just using a tidal wave action
The pavement at some parts is broken to pieces. Even when the DBKL is doing some gardening work on the plants (located in the middle of the pavement) they park their lorry on the pavement.

So what has got this to say about Malaysia? If our own DBKL is performing an act which is totally wrong, how can we expect those "first class people" living in the expensive condo to observe the correct traffic rule? Even the European expats who must be following strict rules back in their home country find no problem on driving on the pavement.

What I am trying to say is that, if our own people is doing the wrong things and not taking the action to preserve our own facilities and environment, not taking good care of them, how can we expect outsiders to do the same?

I love my country, I love this town I'm living in. Frankly, as much as I like walking on Paris streets or Dam Square of Amsterdam or the cleanliness of Singapore (that pretty much cover my international destinations... har har har) I still prefer to be here, in Kuala Lumpur. It pains me to see these people who have no respect towards the beauty of the city.

I have to say, everytime I come across these first class people doing what I listed above, I don't smile if our eyes meet. What makes me more upset is when they look as if they have every right to do what they are doing.

Where is the proper authority on this? Why are they not doing anything to stop the misbehaving conduct? And let's not start about the illegal parking in front of the office building. These big expensive cars parked there sometimes with the driver waiting inside. Haih...

In My Blah Mood

When Mak went to Mecca for her pilgrimage, Abah stayed behind because of his health. That was the longest separation the two had to went through, as far as I remember.

It was not an unpleasant period; just different. Abah was short tempered and moody almost all the time. He seemed a bit lost. The day Mak was to arrive back in KL, he wanted to be at the airport as early as possible. In fact, he left the house earlier than everyone else, one of my brothers accompanied him.

I could not understand at that time why he was behaving the way he did. But I do now. I found myself to submit to the conclusion that I AM my father's daughter after all. I am behaving the way he did. Almost exactly. There's a saying that goes something like this: "like losing a limb". It's a state where a person is not behaving like him/herself because part of him/her is missing.

Last weekend, I had a bowl of ice-cream; four scoops with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkle. I thought that it will increase my low endorphine state. I was wrong. It did not. Watching back-to-back-to-back-to-back episodes of Ghost Whisperer did nothing. Normally looking at the relationship of Melinda and Jim just make my heart warm and blossom in the most strange delightful way. It just made me feel worse because I miss my "Jim" a whole lot more!

A little chat with Momster revealed that she feels exactly the same when her hubby is not around. Although she has her gorgeous son to fill up the emptiness.

I need suggestion people! I need constructive opinion on how to get out of this rut! Because at this moment, I just want to stay at home and be anti-social.

The Rings Story

We wanted something different for the wedding... Well... I wanted. Men, they just go with whatever their women feel happy about, right?

So, there's this jewelry shop in my office building, that takes up orders for customised rings. Naturally, I designed a pair for us. So, we went to see the manager. He was all "of course it can be done!", "I will do it nicely for you, don't worry". "It will be very nice!". Nice guy. He said, the rings will be ready in two weeks time.

Two weeks later, I went to check the rings. I did not plan to pick them up yet, just you know, want to see it first. They were not ready. So he asked me to come back end of the week. I went on Friday, still no. So, it went on until almost two months have passed.

Last week, Wednesday, when I came the rings were not in the shop yet. But they say that they will send it in the evening. So I waited. Throughout the weeks of waiting, they had never call me up to let me know on the progress. I had to go to the shop again and again.

Evening, came and I saw the rings. I was so upset I did not have any words to say except, "These are not what we ordered..." I called up CapalPerak and we agreed that we should just ask our deposit back, since we wasted too much time with these people already. They couldn't give me the money there and then, their manager will need to talk to me.

So, when the manager called the next day, obviously he had pieces of my mind. He did not even say sorry for making the mistake. And he had the neck to said that if we want our deposit back, he will take a percentage for the bank charges since we paid the deposit by card. The nerve of the man! I did not agree, so I asked him to call up CapalPerak.

Apparently he called this morning, days after our conversation. And he had a fight with CapalPerak. Still, he did not apologise. He even threatened not to give the money back because CapalPerak was impolite to him, he said. Boleh tak?? Bengong.

So today, I went to collect back the deposit, minus the bank charges. CapalPerak agreed to give it because he said we've wasted too much time with this. The manager was not in the shop when I was there. And since it's already Ramadhan, I did not have the nafs to complain and fight. Besides, I don't want the staff to be the receiving end since it's not their fault.

The shop's name is Joyeria Kohinoor Sdn Bhd. I'm not saying you should not go to this shop, because I do like some of their works. It's a pity that I had a bad experience. In fact, I did plan to ask them to do a simple bracelet for me. But because of what happened, I'm just... numb.

We went to several shops to look for our wedding rings. But I just don't have the drive. None of the rings are calling at me. Well, there's still time, right? Maybe, who knows, along the way, we'll find something we like. At the moment, I'm just less animated about rings.

Any suggestions?

I am, but one voice

So, the G has decided to revert back teaching Science and Mathematics in Bahasa Melayu. As much as I love my own language, I have to disagree with this move. The idea to start teaching the two subjects in English was a wise one. The idea to go back to the old medium, not so smart.

They say we could melayukan the scientific and mathematical terms. But don't they realise that by doing that we will end up with a bastardise version of Bahasa Melayu? The beautiful language lose its authenticity just because we want to, initially, maintain or prolong its life.

Look what happen to old English, they finally reside in those "classic" novels and articles. Never used in day-to-day life.

I have to agree with Tun M in this matter. We are not the leader in the fields, thus we need to work harder. Just because you're learning science and mathematics in English, does not mean you lose your root and history. I am so sure I have blogged about this before.

How many more words should we include in our Kamus Dewan? I shall continue in Bahasa Melayu.

Sayang seribu kali sayang. Aku hanyalah satu suara.

Tell me,

...is it wrong....
  • ... to feel sad and disappointed when your best friends could not accompany you on your wedding day (at the other side)?
  • ... to feel sad and disappointed when your best friends seem not to have the sensitivities to offer help with the planning?
  • ... to feel sad and disappointed when your other half would rather spend time with his friends than you?
  • ... to feel sad and disappointed when your future sister-in-law is being treated extra special?
  • ... to feel sad and disappointed when you suddenly realised that you're not as special as you thought you were?
  • ... to feel sad and disappointed when you actually feel sad and disappointed about the above things?
  • ... that because of all the above, you suddenly feel... so alone?
I'm venting out. It has been so long since I've done this. Somehow, I fear that I would hurt other people feelings. And because I'm not blogging quite so anonymously as before, people will talk and speculate. Maybe I should resort to a new anonymous blog for venting out.

I don't like questioning myself and my values. I don't like it when my consideration of other people's feelings makes me do just that. I don't like not knowing what's the right thing to do. And lately, I have been swallowing and stomaching everything. I don't like this choked up feeling. In short, I hate the state that I am in now.

And so, if people talk and speculate upon reading this entry, let it be. It makes me breath easier by letting it all out. By not admitting that my life has its ups and down, I'm being a hypocrite. By actually saying the truth I risk the bad responses that comes with it. So.

Maybe this is just the stress talking.

June 7, 2009

Say what? Who?

So, few people have started asking me; "Who's your maid of honor?". Honestly, I never thought about it, but I'm suddenly caught off guard. Frankly, there is none. I mean, a maid of honor would mean, this person will be there all the way before, through out and probably just after the W-day right? At this juncture, I don't see anyone who fits the bill.

Sure I have lots of girlfriends. I even have a few who I considered my "bestest friends in the whole wide world" (quoting Tommy of Rugrats when he describes Chucky). But, I couldn't expect them to carry the title, if it's any honour to carry so, because they all have their own commitments. Outside the bestest circle, I'm afraid they might feel insulted to be asked. Don't ask me why.

CapalPerak had asked me the other day the same question. His best man was already determined years ago. So, I wonder, am I such a sad pathetic soul, that I couldn't even name one person just like that who would be my maid of honour?

This person has to be able to tell me to breathe when I'm hyperventilating (like what happened during my engagement day). She should be able to re
mind me the things that I probably misplaced or forgot to order. She would be my shadow, basically, within the days close to the W-day. And she will also be there with me, when I fly some hundred miles away from KL to visit the other site. Most importantly she will be the one who hand me a glass of water when I start to choke on emotions, re-arrange my veil and clothes so that I look my most beautiful on my day, speak words of encouragement when my heart beats too fast. She will be my practical conscious self, when my feet feels numb and not touching the ground.

Well, there you go. Walk-in and apply within.

April 17, 2009

Hmm... again.

I am back in KL. Since last Saturday. I find myself less incline to blog these days. I wonder why. Maybe the fact that my life is pretty much the same day in day out these days. It might also the case of not being so anonymous anymore.

More and more friends are opting to stop blogging. It's sad. Lots of moral police around and those with holier-than-thou attitude people. I wish this people would just live their lives and aspire to be better person themselves without being so condescending on other people. No one is perfect, not even these self elected behaviour officers.

It's so lame.

On HP again!

So, they say they replace the cooling fan. And they say they are confident that that the problem will not occur again.

When I asked them what assurance can they give to me since I'm not confident that the problem will not happen again, the Service Centre Supervisor just told me that the problem will not happen again. I requested for an extended warranty period as a proof that they are confident the problem is solved, the Supervisor just gave me a plain "NO".

No attempt at all to serve me, as the customer, better. No attempt to reassure me that I'm getting my moneys worth. The only thing that he said was that it is a good product (when I told him HP sold me a faulty unit) and that he has recommended the same model to a lot of his friends.

The only thing that I can conclude from this incident is that; since I'm just a nobody, a normal consumer, the company does not care whether I get a quality product or not. What disappoints me the most is that, not only they are not willing to replace the unit with a new one, they cannot even give me an extended 6 months warranty! I don't think that's too much to ask.

Well, I'm not confident if I log a complain to their website, anyone from the company will even read it! Come on, just another consumer venting her frustration right?

Malaysians has always been known to be courteous and helpful to foreign tourists/customers. I have a feeling if my name was Angeline Bordaine with blonde hair, blue eyes and milky white skin, I'd be getting what I requested for. Ha ha ha...

I CERTAINLY WILL NOT BUY HP PRODUCT EVER AGAIN.
HP Pavilion tx2032au Entertainment Notebook PC WILL BE MY LAST HP PRODUCT. AND I WILL MAKE IT MY PERSONAL MISSION TO RECOMMEND OTHER BRANDS TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SERIOUSLY.

March 5, 2009

I will not buy HP again

I hate HP. I don't understand why they sell defective items. Yes, HP as in Hewlett-Packard. I bought their tablet laptop; HP Pavilion tx2000 some 6 months ago. All was great until November came, the laptop starts to act up. It starts to shutdown itself. Initially I thought maybe because it became too warm, but it's ridiculous when you've only switched it on for less than 5 minutes, and it just went bleep!

So, I sent to the service center some time in January, because December was a hectic month. I got it back some 3 weeks later, because of Chinese New Year holidays etc. Now, it's almost a month, and it's starting to misbehave again! The guy in the HP shop will definitely get an earful from me. Again.

The last time I sent it over, they told me it's because og the processor; AMD Athlon. Thus, they had to change the whole motherboard. So, my question at that time way, if you have to change the whole motherboard, why can't you change with a motherboard that is using a different processor than the type that you know is already defective? The guy said it's not possible, even when I offered to pay the difference.

I hope the laptop will be fixed before I start to travel. Dem. Maybe I should just write a complain letter to HP. But looking at Malaysian customer service, I doubt they will replace tha faulty laptop. I doubt it very much.

Bengong tau.

Boredom...

Three and a half more hours to go before I can call it a day. Today seems very draggy for me. The hours could not pass by faster.

This is what happens when you start the week lazily. At least, for me. If my Monday is screwed, the rest of the week is just as bad. I know it's more mental set than anything else. And on Monday, I knew I could beat the blues like every other Monday, but I just chose not to. Thus, a lazy boring week.

About a week ago I decided to stop going to my guitar classes. CapalPerak advised against it. He said I should be doing something different. Besides, that is what I've kept on wanting to do. Something different. Even so, I was adamant not to continue. But, when the teacher called last Thursday to tell me that he had to cancel the class that night, I felt differently.

So yesterday, I went to the class with a renewed motivation. :-) I bought a new pick! White colour this time. Ha ha ha. I could say I'm a pick collector now! Who else would want to have more than one RM2 pick! There was this pick with skeleton design on it, looked awesome. Maybe next time.

Maybe I'm not as crazy I thought I am. There is a Wikipedia entry just for picks!

I Do Yoga

This is a sore subject starting today. Suddenly the Fatwa Council decides that Yoga could deviate Muslims. Can I just point out that while I'm sweating myself in the gym doing Yoga, I can hear ocean waves and the sound of water flowing and the slow and mellow melody?

I'm starting to wonder what exactly the people in the council is doing. Do they perform any extensive research before they decide on something? Or are they just passing judgment based on hearsay?

But before I go ranting about this, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt. Probably what the Yoga practice that they are referring to is the one which is accompanied by certain chants or mantra. The Yoga that is being practiced in the gyms are not the target here. If that's the case, then, I support their view.

Prior to the Yoga issue, they came out with a Fatwa against women dressing and behaving like men. The reason behind this is to discourage homosexuality. While I agree to that, where is the Fatwa against men dressing and behaving like women? Is this not a social situation that we are facing too?

With that, I shall stop here. There was another topic that I wanted to blog about, but shall have to wait for later now. Today is Thursday, and I believe I have a Yoga class later this evening... Hmm...

Datuk Jade, everyone!

"Owhh.. because he/she receives many international awards..."

"Making Malaysia well-known to the world..."

"Making Malaysia proud"

"The example of true Malaysia-Boleh spirit!"

"It's an accomplishment when you're being the leading lady/man in one of the most popular movie franchise in the world!"

"Because he/she advertise this so and so location... bringing more tourist in!"

So, we have heard a lot of reasons why certain so-and-so is awarded the "Datuk" title. This post might be a little out-dated with regards to the subject, but what the heck, eh? I wanted to post something when the news came out, but was too lazy to go on the net that day...

Anyway, what is the basis of this title actually?

I personally feel that people who are selfless are the ones who really deserves the title. Imagine the numbers of our soldiers who every now and then risking their lives to maintain peace. But we never hear a certain Ali or Muthu or Chong being given the title because he spent half a year in Bosnia or Timor Timor. Haih. I don't see any point why Shah Rukh Khan should get the title. He's done nothing for the country, for our people. He just strut himself around Malacca town singing and swaying. Malacca was just a background. No promotion whatsoever.

What about in the past? The title was given to Michelle Yeoh, Siti Nurhaliza, Sharifah Aini, and who else? I'm not saying that these people did nothing to contribute, but hey, I bet when Michelle Yeoh accepted the Bond girl part she never thought about how this will impact Malaysia. Besides, having all these artistes performing overseas have not exactly change the view of foreigners about Malaysia. A lot of them still do not know where Malaysia is. Some of them still think we're living in trees. So, where's the impact actually? What value have they given to people and country?

I have nothing against artistes and performers receiving award. Hey, if you deserve it, you should. I'm talking about these tradition giving out Datukship title as freely as these people can. Isn't there some kind of guidelines to be followed before someone is nominated to receive the award? If I'm not mistaken, these titles come with some kind of monetary gain as well, right? So, are these monies being spent wisely, considering? How do this help the people?

I'm sure this "tradition" will continue on. More people will get the title just because. Some will be the ones who actually deserve it. Some would just enjoy it for no reason at all.

Shah Rukh Khan was not thinking of helping Malacca when he decided to shoot the scene there. Just so happen the location suited his purposes at that time.

So, go figure lah.

ps: Oi! I am spending my time to ensure the country will be better equipped to help the nation. Don't I deserve a Datukship as well?

Going green...?

In the spirit of conserving energy and going green, I'm following my sista's footsteps by changing the theme to dominantly dark. I am not sure how long I'll be able to handle the darkness though, but I shall persevere as long as I can.

I seriously do not have anything to blog about. I have written a paragraph of something just now, but I deleted it. So, I guess, this is it.

Have a good weekend people. Be happy. Take care.
