I Dated Myself Last Night

You read the title correctly the first time. I went on a date with myself last night. My initial engagement was postponed, so since I was already pimping myself, I decided to go ahead and date myself. He he he...

I went to Bakerzin to have a plate of nice pasta. It's beef and turkey in pink sauce. Very mouthful and delicious. Just look at the slices of meat and the al dente penne. Lovely and yummy.

I also ordered the Vienna Cafe which I also considered as the dessert for the night. Just look at the creamy whipped cream and lovely layers of brown and chocolate. It was sinful, take my word.

You know, sometimes, it feels really nice to dress up and put on some make up. Reason being, people tend to smile at you more and treat you nicely. I kid you not. It's also good for ego boost. Whenever I feel down, I will choose something from my limited wardrobe that I rarely wear and spend more time to paint my face. The effect would simply elevate my endorphine level.

Owhh.. after the pasta dinner, I went for grocery shopping. He he he... Surely I was a little over-dressed for doing some grocery. And people would think that I was just making appearence since I only bought a box of cereal and some eggs. But really, those were the only thing I was really looking for. I wanted to buy bread, but the expiry date was in two days time, so it hardly worth it. I wasn't planning to cook anything, so I need not buy any poultry or seafood. So.

Anyway, I had a great night. When I came back home, Witchblade was about to start. So I quickly changed into my baju tido, washed my face, and proceed with my nightly routine in front of the TV.

He is sitting for his exam this morning. Wishing him the best of lucks! And B, you've done what you can, you've work hard for it and if it's meant to be, you'll get it, ok?

The Day After

He he he... I had a Chocolate Indulgence night with my family members. With Dominoes Pizzas. Very, very filling. This happened on Saturday. By the way, the writings are "Happy Birthday, Ayong". I initially read it as "Buyong". Ha ha ha...

Then yesterday, he picked my up just before 8pm and we had ourselves a Mexican dinner in P*. I was a little over dressed. Well, both of us were (I was a walking amethyst and he was the pimp daddy). But don't care la, eh? It was my day after all. After that we walked to S* to enjoy some dessert. Bitter sweet helping.

As of yesterday, I own something new. All I can say is, "Love it! Love it! Love it!". Was a little speechless when he handed me the box. He he he...

Other than that, wishes from all over. Thank you lovely people. It is nice to be remembered. No, it feels no different to finally cross over. Feels the same. Look the same. Maybe now people will take me seriously. Ha ha ha...

Another birthday come, another birthday gone
Feels the same some, the rest like being reborn!

A colleague sugested this book to read. I take the suggestion as my birthday present. ;-)

Last few days...

I have been blogging for 3 years. Man. A lot of things have happened in that time. Man. I know there are more older bloggers out there. It's just that... Man. 3 years. If I had a kid, he or she is already about 50, 60 centimetres tall. Heh. And I would probably be pregnant with the next one. Man.

Ha ha ha.. Yes, Jade is rambling. These are the last days of yours truly in her 20s. Some hormonal imbalances are due and some electro-wachamalit might get screwed up. He is taking me out on Sunday night. For dinner, I presume. Attire, well, just managed to get one nice purple thing thing from the green structure. There's another attire I'm due to acquire for Sharky's wedding in two weeks. Still have time to make up my mind.

So, if you ask me, no, I feel no different. It's after all just a number. That keeps on increasing every year. Heh. Seriously. If I can still pass as a 25 year old, I have nothing to worry about. I am as young as old as I look. Depending on the situation.

Work is making me feel older though. Even if the people that I'm working with are being childish. Isn't it wonderful to be able to choose what you want to do and which you rather not get involved with? Forget about responsibilities and goodwill. What matters most is what you want. Hah.

Anyway, I'm ready for a move. God will, it will be much better. My counterpart has already made hers and looks like the response wave is very positive. I wish I'm going to be in a similar boat. Hopefully soon.

Open Your Heart

I have got to be the last person to talk about politics. Seriously. To me, politicians will say or do anything to ensure they get elected because it's the path way to get "free" monthly allowances.

Recent events however, become a little too disturbing for my comfort. I for one am not ready to sacrifice the bliss that I have enjoyed for almost thirty years. Call me a hypocrite or just gullible, I rather you do that.

A lot of us are screaming for transparency these days. I ask you now, how much are you willing to sacrifice in return for all the insider knowledge? Are you willing to have curfew at 7pm everyday? Are you willing to feel fear every moment of your breathing life thinking when the worst is going to end? Are we ready to live like the Indonesians or Afghans or even Mexicans?

Few weeks back, several people from my generation (as my father called them) delivered a pillow and a bolster for our PM with a message for the PM to continue sleeping. I applaud them for being brave. And utterly stupid. Abah's exact word was "kurang ajar" and "kacang lupakan kulit". But to me, they are just plain arrogant and stupid.

Look, no one said it's easy to be a CEO. What more as a country's CEO. After all, that's what a nation is about right? A huge corporation. At least a company is easier to control because you can just sack people whenever they go against you. How do you sack a citizen when they oppose you?

I am not a pro-government neither am I walking alongside the opposition. I am just another citizen who is concern of what our society has become. I have neither power nor money, not even the influence to assist in changing the world. But I have my blog. So here, I write what I feel and hopefully you who read this feels the same.

It's time for us to work together my friends. There is no point blaming other people for not doing their jobs or not doing things right. We are merely onlookers. We are not walking in their shoes, we can't claim to know what really IS going on. Stop being stupid and arrogant. Instead do a little bit to help the community. Instead of sending rude gifts to politicians, why not make an effort to help the poor few kilometres away from where you're standing now? The fuel money that you used to deliver the so-called "enlightening" presents, use it to bring an elderly to the hospital to get a treatment.

I for one, am not ready to give up the peace that we have. True, the reality might be as what the Malays say api dalam sekam. But as much as it is, wouldn't it be better to extinguish the little fire rather than fanning it to make it bigger? Peace is a price, my good people. You won't be smiling tomorrow if you decide to burn the bridges.

Remember when you were seven years old? So eager to go to school today because the school is giving free milk? Remember that other day when you're getting two bottles of vitagen? Remember when you receive a letter from MARA or JPA that enables you to go overseas for your degree? Or remember the day you get your first job offer? Some of you with the G's office itself. Give our children and children's children the chance to feel that euphoric feeling too.

No government is perfect. If you feel you can do better, be one of the candidates. Don't talk too much too loud like empty barrels. Everybody has their part to play on this play. So, play it wisely. Help the people to prosper not drown in the drain.

NOTE: This message is a community service. Not related to the impending elections. Nor is it a statement to approve or disapprove, condemn or support certains acts, certain people. This is merely a citizen's opinion. A citizen who loves where she is now, what she's able to do today' and God willing, tomorrow.

What My Name Means

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. Really??!!!
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. Errr....
You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do. I'm evil, I know...

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. Aha...
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. Quite true
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. Iskk..

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life. Definitely
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home. I like curling on my couch though...
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble. Thus the impulsive compulsive buying!

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia. Didn't finish my MSE..
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person. Hmm.. people do say...

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. Hmm...
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality. Ha ha ha

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you. Really??!!
You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries. Yeah, I'm like the famous Coyote...
You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice. But very bad at taking them!

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. Non-rebel is boring, maybe?
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. Indeed.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun. Care to join me?
